A modern, pressurized diaphragm type expansion tank for all hot water heating systems, the Extrol tank is of welded steel construction; compact and neat in appearance.A rugged, flexible diaphragm of material specifically compounded for long life is the heart of the Extrol tank. This diaphragm separates the system water from the 12 lb. air charge, assuring a permanent air cushion. Because the diaphragm permits the tank to be pressurized, the Extrol tank can be physically smaller than conventional expansion tanks. The Extrol tank can be installed into a tee or other suitable tapping anywhere within the heating system. Ideally, it should be installed in conjunction with an air purger and vent to provide complete and continuous air elimination. Fill-Trol is an Extrol tank with built-in automatic fill valve to maintain minimum system pressure.
